Rotala Indicia Red is very undemanding and highly sought for its beautiful shades of red. The leaves are round when it grows emersed and it will start to transform into pointy leaf when fully adapted to submerged life. Rotala Rotundifolia Red will provide rapid growth under the right lighting conditions.
The stems have an overhanging to horizontal growth habit and form dense bushes as they ramify readily, just like Rotala sp. "Green", which is always light green.
It forms side shoots willingly, becoming compact and bushy. This also means that it is hard for light to reach the lower leaves, so the plant should be pruned frequently. Also known as Rotala indica.
The emerse form has rounded leaves, the submerse leaves are narrow lanceolate. It is very variable dependent on light and environmental conditions. Under strong light, the leaves can become almost wine red. It has pale pink flowers. This plant can be differentiated from the closely related R. indica by the differences in the two species' inflorescences. R. rotundifolia bears groups of terminal inflorescence, while R. indica has solitary flowers on the axis of the leaves

When will items ship?
Most items ship out in 1-3 days excluding holidays when the post office is closed. If you would like to receive your item faster we recommend purchasing priority mail. If there is severe weather, we will sometimes print the label but not ship your package until after the weather has passed in order to ensure safe arrival.
DOA/Damaged Claims: It is our honor and privilege to serve you. We hope that you are satisfied with everything. If you are for some reason not satisfied, please let us know as we are here to help make this hobby easy and enjoyable!
Livestock:
1. We guarantee live arrival on all of our livestock. In the rare event livestock shows up dead, we must be notified in 24 hours. Keep in mind these plants just took the journey of their lifetime in a dark box for 2-4 days so they will take time to recover and be at their best again. Please Take clear photos of the dead product and send it to us within 24 hours of receiving the item and once the item is validated by us we will send a replacement or refund minus the cost of shipping. Failure to comply with one or more of these policies will mean we can no longer cover you.
2. If you are concerned about extreme heat or cold, we highly recommend having the post office hold your mail for the estimated delivery day. This is a completely free option which can be requested online via www.usps.com or in person at your local post office. This way, your package will remain indoors, protected, and out of the elements for you to pick up once the package has arrived.
3. We guarantee live arrival of all live stock. This means we assure that live stock will show up alive. We do not guarantee your success in keeping the livestock alive/healthy. Lots of outside factors that we cannot control go into the success or failure of keeping livestock healthy. We are here to help but are not liable after you have received the livestock alive.

Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)
If your plants arrive dead on arrival (DOA), we offer a replacement or store credit under the following conditions:
✅ Report the issue within 2 hours of delivery.
✅ Provide clear photos of the dead plants and packaging.
✅ Email info@aquaticplanthouse.com with your order number and a brief description.
Once verified, we will process a replacement or issue store credit within 2 business days.
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Slight yellowing is normal due to lack of light during transit. Simply float your plants near a light source for 3 days to help them recover.
- The DOA policy is void if delivery is delayed due to incorrect shipping information or missed delivery attempts.
- Extreme weather conditions can affect plant health. Please check the forecast and choose a shipping window accordingly.
- Our policy does not cover plants that perish due to improper acclimation after arrival.

- Orders can be changed or canceled only before shipping. Once the order is in transit, we cannot make modifications.
